My name is Michelle Watters and this is the story of FlapArt.

 

Awhile ago, my husband Brian said "wouldn't it be funny if you were sitting on the subway reading a book and on the front cover it said, How to Murder a Complete Stranger and Get Away with It?  Imagine what people around you would think, especially when you finally finished the book".

 

Now, that in itself seems like a strange statement unless you know my husband.  He's been saying, "wouldn't it be great if......" for as long as I've known him and after 18 years, I have perfected the "Brain Filter". Yes I said "Brain" not "Brian", a little nickname he picked up after years of listening to his many ideas!

 

Anyhow, with the "Brain Filter" working at full capacity I thought, "you might have something there".  And so with unending support (is that what you call it when someone shoves you into something you're not sure you can do?) from my husband, I set out to open a company that could create, develop, print and sell covers that would make people laugh and have fun!

 

Fast forward through all the boring stuff I had to do to get where we are today, keeping in mind that nothing went "Wrong" with Rhonda, my graphic designer! 

 

 

 

 

So here we are with a product line we call Misleading Reading. There are over 40 fun titles to choose from  (not all of them are listed on the site yet). Some are a little racy like How to Make Your Mother A Porn Star and How to Overcome Nymphomania (put that one in your bathroom, with a bookmark and become a hero!). Some are for the Do-it Yourselfer in the family, we all have one. For that person try Do-it-Yourself Dentistry, At Home Laser Eye Surgery or Do-it-Youself Liposuction. The kids love Perfecting the Art of Fart Projection and The Nutritional Benefits of Nose Picking (ewww!!)
